Tiger Shroff’s Car Attacked in Mumbai: What Happened in Juhu?

Actor Tiger Shroff escaped a shooting in Mumbai’s Juhu area on October 18, 2026. His driver and another man were injured after unidentified attackers opened fire at the actor’s car as he was returning home from a football match.

How Did the Attack Happen?

Tiger Shroff had gone to a football ground in Juhu, where he played with film producer Bunty Walia and others. After the match, he sat in the front passenger seat of his BMW sedan and left with his driver, Firdaus. As the car reached the main road near Pushpa Park, three men on a motorcycle approached it. Two allegedly opened fire while the third remained on the motorcycle.

CCTV footage that circulated after the incident appeared to show the attackers firing at the car before fleeing. Reports differ on the exact number of rounds fired.

During the attack, Firdaus sustained a gunshot injury to his hand. Another man nearby, identified in reports as an autorickshaw driver, was also injured. Both men were taken to hospital for treatment. Mumbai Police confirmed that Tiger was safe and had not suffered any gunshot wounds. Some reports said he sustained minor abrasions from shattered glass.

Police Search for the Attackers

After the shooting, the attackers fled on their motorcycle. Reports said they later abandoned the vehicle near Andheri railway station. Police seized the motorcycle and began examining its registration details, number plate, chassis and engine numbers to help identify those involved.

Investigators are also reviewing CCTV footage to trace the attackers’ movements before and after the incident. Police formed multiple teams to investigate the case. One person was detained for questioning in the Santacruz area, but their involvement had not been established. On October 19, police also recorded a statement from the injured driver.

Is the Lawrence Bishnoi Gang Involved?

After the shooting, a social media post claiming responsibility was linked in reports to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. An audio clip attributed to a man identified as Anil Pandit also claimed that Tiger Shroff was on the gang’s hit list.

The gang has previously been linked to threats against actor Salman Khan, a subject ISH News has covered earlier. However, police are investigating the claim, and the gang’s involvement in the attack has not been officially established.

Government Responds to the Shooting

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis spoke to Mumbai Police Commissioner Deven Bharti and directed the police to investigate the incident and take action against those responsible.

Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde also spoke to Tiger Shroff and his father, actor Jackie Shroff. Shinde later met Tiger and said the government would review security arrangements for members of the film industry. He warned that those responsible would be identified and face action.

Film Industry and Political Leaders React

The All Indian Cine Workers Association and the Federation of Western India Cine Employees condemned the attack and called for better protection for Tiger Shroff and his family. Several political leaders also raised concerns about Mumbai’s law and order situation, referring to previous incidents involving public figures, including Salman Khan and filmmaker Rohit Shetty.

The police investigation is ongoing. The identity of the attackers and the motive behind the shooting have yet to be officially confirmed.
